The Grill at The Everglades Hotel
Within only a short drive of the City Centre, the Grill does bistro dining at its best and the good people of Derry-Londonderry and beyond are so thankful.
Everyone who goes here comments on how relaxing it is. It feels like it’s out in the country but it’s so close to the city centre. The mix of traditional with a twist and posh international nosh means hungry tummies no more.
The chefs at the hotel don’t just look for local ingredients because they are local. They care about how they have been produced and they want maximum flavour. They love doing “traditional with a twist” dishes like their classic seafood chowder, chicken liver pâté or their fabulous homemade pies.
Their steaks are not to be missed – The 10oz Northern Irish Sirloin from Peter Hannan Meats simply melts in your mouth it’s so tender and tasty and don’t forget the old favourites like homemade chicken curry, Irish pork medallions with roasted carrots, parsnips and apple purée with a rich recurrent reduction, or a delicious baked Glenarm salmon – the only problem is deciding which to choose!
For dessert how about some homemade chocolate and hazlenut brownies, to die for sticky toffee pudding or a local twist on a classic with an a Glastry Farm Ice Cream Slider!
Be sure to make time to try their traditional afternoon tea in the lounge – dainty finger sandwiches, fluffy scones and divine pastries, washed down with lashings of Thompson’s finest tea – the perfect way to spend an afternoon
