The Cuan
The Cuan has been a beloved landmark in the picturesque coastal village of Strangford for over 30 years. In 2020, it changed ownership and underwent an extensive renovation, transforming into a stylish and modern hotel while retaining its unique character. Renowned designer Suzanne Garuda has infused each of the nine bedrooms with its own distinctive style and ambiance.
Dining is at the heart of The Cuan, led by Chef Gerard Sands. Chef Sands and his talented team focus on using fresh, seasonal and locally sourced ingredients, with a strong emphasis on Marty Johnston’s East Coast Seafoods, reflecting the hotel’s coastal location.
The menu features weekly specials, along with a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. Guests can look forward to dishes like their famous seafood chowder with Guinness wheaten and fresh crispy battered cod & chips.
