Northbound Brewery’s home is Derry-Londonderry where David and Martina Rogers
have been making award-winning brews since coming back from Australia in 2012.
The brewery started selling its beers in 2015 and it prides itself on producing
premium quality, unpasteurized beers that are natural, unfiltered with no artificial
additives.

After almost a decade in Sydney where David had worked with one of Australia’s
largest breweries in different roles gaining his Master Brewer qualification from the
Institute of Brewing and Distilling (no small achievement- they only go to a dozen
people a year). Martina’s experience in the financial services sector segwayed neatly
into Sales, Admin and Marketing for the business.
They use local ingredients where possible including malt, hops and yeast from Get
Er Brewed, Derry water and Irish carrageen moss seaweed to make their beers
which are bottled on site.
They love collaborating with local producers to showcase the best of the northwest
including Dart Mountain who wash one of their cheeses in Northbounds 26 Pale Ale.
Dart Mountain & Northbound Brewery also run Derry’s Famous Beer & Cheese Tour,
a fabulous experience sampling the best of the Northwest & learning about ordinary
families doing something a little different!
