If you are interested in cooking and eating food, then this is the tour for you!
The tour includes a visit to the popular Comber Farmers’ Market which features over 25 food and plant traders selling the highest quality food and plant products which have been made, baked or grown by local people who are passionate about their produce. Once you have walked around the market, tea/coffee, home baked scones, cakes and buns awaits you in the church hall served by the ladies of St Mary’s Parish Church catering committee.
After your morning tea break, you will be escorted through the Square and given a short information talk on the history of the Rollo Gillespie War Memorial and the Titanic Memorial before arriving 5 minutes later at Indie Fude Delicatessen. Here, you will be given an entertaining food producer’s demonstration by one of our local food producers.
Next, you will walk back to the Square where the bus will pick you up and drive you to The Old School House, an award winning restaurant, owned by talented young chef Will Brown. You can choose two courses from his lunch menu.
Please note that wine will be extra.
