Canteen

Canteen has opened its new kitchen café on the fashionable Belmont Road. You will know Canteen from its former residence in St Anne’s Square. You can expect the same dedication to great coffee and great food in its new home, whether it is a morning coffee and scone or something freshly made to order from the kitchen.

The team is bolstered with the addition of the multi-award winning and inspirational, Joery Castel, on board as Consultant Chef. Joery brings the same flair and inspiration to the more casual eating experience at Canteen’s Kitchen Café, as he does to The Boathouse Restaurant.

Dedication to local and seasonal produce is evident throughout the newly crafted menu which features the best of Northern Ireland’s food producers, including Abernethy Butter, Leggygowan Farm Goats Cheese, Cavanagh Free Range Eggs, Rockvale Farm Chicken, Hannan’s Moyallon Sausages and Clandeboye Estate Yoghurt.

The ‘All Day Menu’ is everything you would expect from a Kitchen Café . You might have difficulty choosing from the Boathouse Seafood Chowder, Smoked Beetroot and Leggygowan Goats Curd Salad, the Wild Venison and Mushroom Pie or the Chef-Recommended Bang Bang Chicken on fresh baguette.

The ever-popular Coffee Masterclasses and Canteen Supper Club will feature strongly with seasonally themed suppers and renowned jazz sessions.

Check out menus and keep posted on the Canteen Belfast Facebook and Twitter feeds for updates on special events and other initiatives as they continue to roll out new ventures over the coming months.
