The 2016 Annual NI Tourism Conference, taking place in Derry~Londonderry for the first time, will focus on Collaborating Locally and Competing Globally in the tourism marketplace.
Tourism has been critical to the transformation that has taken place in Northern Ireland over the last 10 years. We’re now attracting more and more visitors from around the world who wish to experience our vibrant cities, our unspoilt landscape, our unique culture and heritage and the warm hearted, genuine welcome they receive from a community which goes the extra mile to make them feel at home. Not only are more overseas visitors coming to Northern Ireland than a decade ago, they are also staying longer and spending more.
Northern Ireland tourism has now become competitive in the international marketplace. However, when we compare ourselves to our nearest neighbours, there is still potential for further growth.
This year’s Annual Tourism Conference will explore how Northern Ireland can compete in this marketplace – continuing to grow and capitalising on our well-earned place on the global stage. Northern Ireland is open for business – can you afford to miss out?
